Must travel agents know everything?

Now that I am officially a travel agent, I have been asked many a question including "is it raining in Bangkok right now?"
Ok, so it's quiet easy these days to just jump on a search engin and look up the current weather of another country, but it does make you wonder if they think that being travel agents mean we known everything and have been everywhere?
We do get a lot of destination and product training. For example, this morning before we opened shop we picked a destination and learnt all about it (whether or not we've been there). We learn about the local currency, what their travel trends are, what activities and attractions are available as well as other essentials such as "is it safe to go right now?"
Of course, it is essential to have been as many places as we can so we can advice our clients our opinions on the destinations and give them the best advice possible. That's why we travel agents do get discounted travel and opportunities to travel for free with certain tour companies to test it out. These opportunities are offered to top earners of course (not everyone gets it) so I have to earn my keep in the industry!
Then you get people who love doing their own research and we often end up listening to them talking about it all. Which is the best coz all we have to do then, is to book their holidays for them.
What have you requested from a travel agent before? Have you got any funny travel agency stories to share?
