It's that time. Operah will soon be heading to our shores with 300 of her audience members in partnership with Tourism Australia.
They say it's good investment for Australian Tourism, however I fail to see how spending $3m will help at all, when at this point in time, with our dollars so strong, even Australians don't want to holiday at home.
Everytime she makes the papers I keep over hearing conversations about her upcoming shows at the Opera House. Some are excited at the prospect of having one of the most famous talk shows being shot in Australia; while there are others who didn't even know who she is. "Operah? She the singer?"
I certainly am not excited, and think it's a complete waste of money.
What do you think?
