This great article Hostel Sex: A Practical Guide for Backpackers got me giggling. Memories of my backpacking days are certainly coming back to me.
A good guide to those looking for a hostel fling I say!
I've had my time in hostel dorm rooms. Ranging from twin/triple bed rooms in a two star hotel in Paris to around 40 beds in a basement hostel in Prague, there are always something fishy going on between travelers. There must be something about getting it on in public, especially when sharing rooms with those you know you will meet again the next day on the bus/train, that arose us.
I am saying this because I am completely guilty.
I've had a discussion with a friend who refuse to stay in hostels. His view is that it's rude to even feel up to someone in a shared hostel room, let alone getting on with the deed. My view? Well, if you are part of the deed, I don't think you would give a damn to anything else going on around you. On the other hand, if you have to watch someone while trying to get to sleep, I suppose it might be just a teeny-weeny little bit uncomfortable.
But that's all part of the backpacking fun!
