Travels tailored to your gender

You know it's funny the other day on the news they interviewed an author who wrote a guidebook about where to 'perve' on the most beautiful women in Paris. And there were lots of criticism from mostly feminist about how offensive it is for women to have such a 'men' guidebook.
Then I got a press release in the email today about the launch of Chickable.com, a women only travel website allowing girls to find travel partners and other odd things here and there. Men not allowed.
So why is one side arguing against a men's guidebook when the other side is setting up women only websites?
Some argue it's the contents of the guidebook that's inappropriate. They say the women only websites cater for women travellers who like a bit of luxury and girlie fun rather than a sexist based 'where to find your millionaire European husband' type thing.
I mean, when did travel get so sexist? Why can't we just enjoy the journey and get along with each other like before? And I thought the whole point of travelling is to get out of our comfort zones and experience something new?
What are your thoughts?

The women's website, on the other hand, gives women the option of having a trip that is free from the attention of men.
In both cases, lusty men are the problem, it would seem.
