~Escape pass to Excitement?~

Hmmm…Have you ever dreamt of going for a morning walk with cute and playful tiger cubs instead of your pet dog? Or instead, have you ever thought how rockets (regardless of them being lifeless) would feel like when they are set to venture the outer space – as in being plunged into the spread blue sky which always seems far far away?

Sounds pretty much like I’m describing your dreamworld?

Well, guess what? I just did! However, there is this one primary significance that might separate your personal dreamworld located in LaLaLand and to ‘zee’ Dreamworld that I’m talking about.

The Dreamworld that I am about to describe further is a theme park which is located in Gold Coast, Australia. It is located in one of the most exciting place to be in the whole wide world (hey, I’m not exaggerating!). One reason why is because of its beautiful and sunny weather that amazingly lasts all year long. I study in Melbourne, Victoria and the last visit to Gold Coast, Queensland a month ago made me feel like I was in a time-machine travelling to heaven…or maybe, because it was winter in Melbourne and I was in search for a location where I’d be able to put my rusty shorts back on again…phew…Glad I found the right destination though!

And on top of that, the trip to Dreamworld just made it better, like the cherry on the triple shot chocolate ice-cream covered with caramel. Eemm eeeemmmmmmmm…… Being one of the famous theme parks in Gold Coast, Dreamworld offers its visitors more than one could ever imagine. Geographically, Dreamworld is sited not too far away yet not too near from the main beach: the Surfers Paradise. It took me approximately 20-30 minutes to reach Dreamworld from the heart of Surfers Paradise by a tourist shuttle bus.

From my personal experience, I dare say that you won’t be disappointed if you are planning to head to Dreamworld anytime soon. I guess because to my opinion, Dreamworld happens to be both entertaining and informative for those who are looking for both sides of the coin. In fact, I loved my trip(s) to Dreamworld as it managed to cover equally I’d say on all important aspects or criteria that other theme parks don’t offer: ‘thrilllife’ ‘wildlife’ ‘wiggleslife’ ‘wetlife’ ‘chilllife’
***please be aware that those nicknames aren’t real (except for wildlife) as it was created by me in the intention to describe Dreamworld in detail.

Let me begin with the ‘thrilllife’, which I believe you would have guessed its contents by now. Yeah, I think you got it extremely right – if you thought of shrieks…screams…yells…and ‘oh-my-gods’…Well, ‘thrilllife’ here in Dreamworld consists of 5 major thrill rides suited especially for the daredevils (although some may ironically say that these are the ways where homo sapiens pay to be tormented- especially when these involves upside down twirling and being dropped from hundreds of meters from the ground)...

For those who feel in that way, you might enjoy the ‘more quiet’ part of the theme park by visiting the ‘wildlife’ (well, more quiet excluding the roaring of the tigers and the chirping of various birds that owns all types of ‘vocal cord’ and even maybe the excitement of the farm animals on ‘display’ during feeding time). Oh, well! The bottom-line is if you are an animal lover then these would sound just like jazz to your ears. Here, one can cuddle a koala (for a price of course!), hop around with the kangaroos, view the collection of reptiles and if you are lucky enough, you might even grab a chance to take a shot with a few predators: an owl, a snake or even a baby croc!
Wildlife never fails to excite me. But I must truly say that it was awesome!!!

For parents with young kids, you need not worry much about them! They have their kiddies’ thrillrides which comes attached with the ‘Wiggles World’. This area provides young kids entertainment suitable for their age. Like for example, Wiggles shows, playgrounds and like mentioned above – kiddies’ rides! Kids may even feed the farm animals like lambs and piglets in a mini-farm.

Next is the ‘wetlife’ which is pretty much self-explanatory. To my opinion, ‘wetlife’ gave the visitors an opportunity to satisfy their need of getting wet in the middle of winter. Take me for an example. I literally ran away to Gold Coast because it was winter in Melbourne and everything was just freezing! I am aware that one could argue that there are indoor heated swimming pools in Melbourne. But that definitely didn’t come with huge slides and colourful tube-rides that spelt F-U-N…Dreamland’s wet park (separate entrance fees) allows people like me to enjoy the water during winter without being labelled as ‘cuckoo’ for doing so! And the best part is that it is comes with so much of FUN!

Lastly, I mentioned ‘chilllife’ which in my personal opinion consist of all the gift shops that one could walk into without having to queue or rush like in the others. This also includes the famous Big Brother studio where one could take slow walks around looking at how the media works. Or to experience the real calmness, to just chill out, one could opt to take an escape boat ride that is provided for all visitors of all age. Finally, last but not least, not to mention their food courts and café’s which somehow has this enormous magnetic power to attract you in for a couple of bites while resting your screaming feet!

Did I tell you that I am telepathic? And that I just heard you go, “Oh, my gosh! There is a lot to see and do! How am I gonna’ do this in one day?”…

Well, that explains how and why my one day trip to Dreamworld was then modified to trips…*wink*
