With all these "scandals" surrounding guidebooks and what their authors get up to, I thought I'd defend Lonely Planet's reputation a little bit by writing a review of their Volunteer: A Traveller's Guide.
As much as I still don't agree with the concept volunteer to travel (rather than just really going volunteering) this book has done some research behind its words and I find, as a past volunteer, consist of some valuable information for all of us thinking about volunteering and things that we need to think about before we decide on a trip.
