Which airports do you like?

The Skytrax World Airport Awards has just been announced and they have awarded Seoul, Hong Kong and Singapore Changi as the top 3 best airports of the world.

We all have our personal favourites, and I must say I personally love the Kuala Lumpur International (listed as number 7 in the list) because it's friendly, easy to get around the terminals and there are good light-filled areas to sleep at for the 8 transit hours frequenty travellers often have.

There is another way to see it - on how well you can sleep in each airport - The Guide to Sleeping in Airports - travellers rate their experience sleeping in different airports and provide adviice on where the best sleeping spots are and which terminals to avoid.

So, which are your favourite airports in the world?

I'm afraid I'm not sufficiently well travelled enough to say, but whatever you think, I go along with Amy

Once I had been through Changi, nothing could compare. Simply an incredible place.

I absolutely loath JFK! We had an early morning flight, departure time 2am. Everything was shut, and I couldn't even by a light snap before boarding the plane *grrrrrrr*

Changi is my fav, I think. It's spacious and I love those (many) free Internet terminals! Sure makes transit time seems shorter

Otherwise, Bangkok is good...in terms of array of food available at really decent prices, and actually tasty (unlike some airport food/eateries).

Overall, I too reckon the Asian airports are tops.

As long as the airport represents a holiday - I'm not fussed!

Though I do have a soft spot for the gaudiness of Las Vegas and all those slot machines - where else in the world . . . .

The best airport in the world - by far - is the Koh Samui International Airport.

As small, and equally as cute, as a button, with lush green surroundings and beautiful rock and wood work.

It's just been refurbished and looks even better.

If you're in Thailand, check it out!

Thanks for the confidence Katyzzz!!

Someone and Lara M - yes, Chengi had been the top fav. for the Skytrax awards in the past, but this year Seoul has taken over the first spot. I have also spent many a night at Chengi, but still prefer KL for their friendliness

Mau-Medellin - And it so happens everyone else does too! JFK is on the top 5 WORST airports of the world!!

Mr Nice Guy - suddenly not so nice when there are slot machines around Just kidding

Glen - that's interesting. Wouldn't think little Koh Samui will have a nice international airport. Going next year might just check it out

i can tell you the best domestic airport ive been to in Australia is Sydney, great food variety and shops, functional rail link, close proximity to the CBD . . . im comparing it mostly to Newcastle, Launceston, Tullamarine, and Avalon, the others i have used regularly

Morgan just enjoys the friendly body rubs from her favourite lesbian security officer. "Oh yes, rub your hand between my sweaty breasts!"

I often have to say "Morgan, don't over do it!"
